
RULES AND REGULATIONS
At Lake Allure, which is a private lake solely operated by Lancaster Scuba Center, we pride ourselves on providing a fun, clean, and safe place to visit. You can help us by following these simple rules and regulations to make your time at the lake a memorable one.
- All persons entering Lake Allure must read, fill out and, sign a combined Lake liability waiver.
- All scuba divers must present proof of certification by a nationally recognized agency to participate in scuba. Exceptions for proof of certification include only those participating in classes, under the direct supervision of a certified Instructor for an entry level scuba certification. (Scuba Diver or Open Water Diver, or equivalent)
- Required equipment for all divers include:
- Buoyancy compensator Device (BCD)
- Submersible Pressure Gauge (SPG)
- Timing and Depth Gauges, or Computer
- An Alternate Air Source of some type, either a dedicated 2nd Stage, or BCD mounted Air Source.
- SOLO DIVING is NEVER permitted at Lake Allure regardless of certification level. The buddy system must be strictly adhered to. Any pass holder (day, monthly or seasonal) found to be solo diving will have their privileges revoked without reimbursement.
- Diver Propulsion Vehicles (aka DPVs or Scooters) may be used by DPV certified divers, or those training in their use while actively under the direct supervision of a certified DPV Instructor.
- No spear guns, pole spears or other weapons are permitted on the property.
- Please observe the Lake Allure property speed limit of 5 mph.
- Vehicles must proceed directly to the parking lot. All dive gear and other equipment must be transported to the benches or the lake side from the parking area.
- All vehicles will be parked in the designated parking area during your stay at the lake.
- Scuba Divers must be packed up and ready to leave the property by 4 pm.
- Children under 12 years old must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
- No alcoholic beverages or illegal drugs are allowed on the site.
- Service animals and Emotional Support Animals (with an ESA letter from a Certified Medical Professional) are always welcome. All animals must be under the handler’s control, stay on land at all times and owners are responsible for waste removal. ESA letters must be present.
- All other pets are prohibited.
- No motorboats or sailboats are permitted at the lake.
- No jumping or diving from the cliffs or walls of the lake.
- No artifacts, property, or underwater structures may be damaged, marked, moved or removed from the site.
- Picnic tables are for instructional staff only and must be shared to maximize available space.
- No camping permitted. No exceptions.
- No open fires on the ground.
- No fishing allowed.
- No littering. Please adhere to the standard of take nothing but pictures, leave nothing but bubbles!
