More Information
There will be a sign by the road with Lake Allure posted so that the entrance is easier to identify.
Drive straight up the lane and park in the gravel parking area to the left side. As a courtesy to other divers, we ask that vehicles are parked parallel to each other with enough distance to comfortably access your vehicle. Parking space in general is limited so please carpool where possible. All parking must be in the designated parking lot. No equipment may be dropped off or picked up in the driveway area at any time. Please note that the Lake is located at the bottom of a fairly steep hill. No vehicles are permitted to drive down or up this hill. No exceptions. A limited number of carts are available for your use or you can bring your own. You can check with staff upon arrival if you need one. Please consider others and return them as soon as you are finished with them so others can also use them. At the end of the day, they must be returned back to staff once you have packed up your vehicle in the parking lot. They are not to be left in the parking lot. All members and day pass divers must have a signed waiver, dated for the day of diving and check in with on-site staff BEFORE entry to the water. All certified divers must show their Certification Card for approval.
A staff member will assist in verifying your entrance and approving your Certification Card.
There are boat style benches at the Lake area with #’s for each seat available and corresponding #’s for the nearby cubby compartments. Please use the cubby compartments instead of laying equipment on the ground to avoid any tripping hazard. If the Lake is at full capacity, we expect all seats to be occupied side by side to be able to accommodate 30 divers at a time. There are 2 Picnic style tables in the area as well to be shared by Instructors as needed. There is not enough room to set up tents in the Lake area but enough room for a few small portable tables.
Straight out from the floating dock and bearing slightly to the right are 3 underwater platforms for Open Water skills training. All three are located next to each other and extend out from a cribbage retaining wall. With respect to the platforms, please be respectful of classes currently in progress.
BBQ Grills are not allowed but there are several nice restaurants within 1 mile of Lake Allure.
A porta-toilet is available by the lake side but there is no running water on the property.
