More Information

There is a dive flag posted by the road at the Lake Allure Property. Turn into this driveway beside the Historic Stone Home.

Upon arrival, continue to follow the driveway past the Stone Home on your right, straight back until you see the parking Lot on the left side. As a courtesy to your fellow divers, please park parallel to each other leaving enough space for others to access their vehicles.

ALL loading and unloading happens in the parking lot. Please do not drop off gear or Divers at the top of the hill leading down to the Lake. Lake Allure access is down the lane beside the Stone Home at the bottom of the hill . No vehicles are permitted to drive on this hill. NO EXCEPTIONS. We have a Polaris to transport your gear to and from the Lake on an ongoing basis throughout the day.

Once you have parked, please proceed to a staff member to check in and submit/sign a waiver. The waiver must be dated for the date of the dive. We have blank waivers available if needed. Once you have checked in with staff, you can ask for transportation to the Lake in the Polaris for yourself and your gear. Note that gates open at 8:00 am for everyone. Instructors may enter at 7:30 am to set up for their day. Instructors will be given priority for the Polaris prior to 8:00 am. There are a limited number of carts available if you prefer not to wait for the Polaris. Please return the carts back to where you got them so others can use them.

Certified divers not part of a class should be prepared to show their Certification Card to staff prior to diving.

There are boat style benches at the Lake area with #’s for each seat available and corresponding #’s for the nearby cubby compartments. Please use the cubby compartments instead of laying equipment on the ground to avoid any tripping hazard. If the Lake is at full capacity, we expect all seats to be occupied side by side to be able to accommodate 30 divers at a time. There are 2 Picnic style tables in the area as well to be shared by Instructors as needed. There is not enough room to set up tents in the Lake area but enough room for a few small portable tables.

Straight out from the floating dock and bearing slightly to the right are 3 underwater platforms for Open Water skills training. All three are located next to each other and extend out from a cribbage retaining wall. With respect to the platforms, please be respectful of classes currently in progress.

BBQ Grills are not allowed but there are several nice restaurants within 1 mile of Lake Allure.

A porta-toilet is available by the lake side but there is no running water on the property.
